Dragonfly Parent Handbook
This handbook has individualized information for the dragonfly classroom.

Activity Calendar
An Activity calendar will be handed out to each child at the begining of the month.

Your Child's Day
6:00 - 8:00 - Greeting time, breakfast and free exploration
8:00 - 8:30 - Morning circle time, song, attendance, calendar, weather, theme related stories and music
8:30 - 9:00 - Child Planning, children decide on a room areas they will work in.

9:00 - 10:00 - Work time / Snack time / Small group time
10:00 - 10:30 - Recall time and clean-up
10:30 - 11:30 - Outside time / large muscle time
11:30 - 12:30 - Lunch time
12:30 - 1:00 - Small group story time
1:00 - 3:00 - Naptime / Quiet activity
3:00 - 3:30 - Snack time
3:30 - 4:30 - Outside time / large muscle time
4:30 - 5:00 - Afternoon circle time / stories and music
5:00 - 6:00 - Free exploration

Field Trips
The child do occasionally go on fieldtrips.  You will be notified in advance of any field trips.

Teacher to Student Ratios
In the Dragonfly room we offer a 10 children to one teacher ration to ensure that each child receives enough attention throughout the day.

Supplies

• Blanket and pillow for naptime
