Welcome From Sister Edna
As
I walk with a busy mother, who was bringing her two-year-old to our day care, she paused to tell me how guilty she used to feel at the thought of leaving her child here while she worked, but now after attending our day care, she feels guilty if she doesn’t. The reason for her change of heart, she said, was her daughter’s regular contact with our adult clients and the way it has enriched her life.
She would likely agree with another parent who said that our intergenerational program builds confidence and social skills in our children that we really notice when we compare to other kids the same age who have not been around the rich diversity of contacts. Likewise, our adult clients and caregivers have also described the richness of their interactions with the children.
At St. Ann Center our goal is to provide community based services that support families thus uplifting the human spirit. We want to be there – whether for you, your mom, your dad, your sister, your brother, your child, in whatever way we can be of help.
Please explore our website for our many programs for all ages and abilities. Our doors are open not only to families that need day care, but also to all members of the community who are looking for outpatient rehabilitation, massage therapy, hair or nail care, counseling, swimming, or just the support of neighbors.
