Caregiver Support Group
Do you need a chance to speak about the demands and frustrations of giving care everyday? Perhaps simply share with others the things that help you keep going? Take time for yourself and meet with us. Caregivers meet at Shepherd House,3221 S. Lake Drive, usually the first Wednesday of every month from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. . If you cannot make one of these meetings, you are invited to call Sr. Joanne at 414-482-1340 or e-mail her at jmeyer@stanncenter.org to meet individually or offer suggestions for a better time.
REGISTRATION is NOT necessary for this group.
St. Ann Center's own 'Danny Boy' wins Golden Idol!
Danny Crivello, a fedora-wearing, guitar-playing, soulful-singing 63-year-old from St. Francis, wowed an audience of 200 and a panel of judges to win top prize in a senior talent show Tuesday at the Washington Park Senior Center.
Milwaukee’s “Golden Idol,” a senior talent show, saw its final competitions Tuesday at the Washington Park Senior Center. Thirty acts tried out for the competition, and 10 made the finals. Among the finalists were line dancers, tap dancers, show dancers, vocalists, a synthesizer keyboardist, banjo player and a chorus. Participants had to be at least 50 years old and a participant in any Milwaukee County Senior Center. To read more about the event click here.

New Session Begins Tuesday March 6, 2010
Learn-to-swim classes:
- Level 1 - Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
- Level 2 - Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
- Level 3 - Friday at 5:00 p.m.
- Level 4 - Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
Class length is 45 minutes and costs $50 for eight weeks.
Infant/Parent classes are Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
Class cost: $45 for the session.
