Q: Are you a nursing home? A: No, we are a day services facility. The Center is open Monday through Friday, 6 am to 6 pm.
Q: What do you mean by intergenerational? A: We bring clients of all ages and abilities together for shared activities because we believe in the positive benefits of spending time together.
Q: What are the ages of children you accept? A: Our child day care accepts children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. It also offers a before and after school program, and a summer camp program. W-2 funding is available for ages 6-12.
Q: Do you offer transportation? A: Yes, St. Ann Center has three of its own wheelchair-accessible buses that offer transportation to and from the Center.
Q: Do you have nurses on duty? A: Yes, we have a full time Register Nurse and LPN on duty every day.
Q: How much does it cost to attend St. Ann Center? A: The cost for full day services is $45 to $55 daily, based on the level of care needed. The Child Day Care costs vary depending on the age of the child.
Q: Do you accept insurance? A: We accept Medicare, Medicaid, T-19, private insurance and private pay. Not all programs are covered by Medicare/Medicaid, but government assistance is available to those who qualify. The Center also offers a sliding fee schedule. Most private insurance plans do not cover the cost of daycare, but therapies may be covered.
Q: How can I afford day services? A: Typically, there are three forms of funding available; private pay, county funding through Adult Services of the Department on Aging, and St. Ann Center's Adopt-A-Life Program.
Q: What is Adopt-A-Life? A: Adopt-A-Life is a funding program available though St. Ann Center. It provides from 25% to 75% of the cost of day services for individuals who cannot afford the full cost of care.
Q: What type of therapy do you offer? A: We offer physical, occupational, speech and restorative therapies. As part of our daily programming we also offer massage, music and art therapies.
Q: Do you provide meals? A: Yes, we have a full service kitchen that makes fresh homemade lunch and provides 2 snacks everyday. If the children arrive early breakfast is also served.
Q: Can you meet special dietary needs? A: Yes, our kitchen can create a special meal plan for each individual client based on dietary needs. We also provide tube feeding.
Q: Do you have a pool? A: Yes, our wheelchair-accessible pool is kept at 88 degrees F and the Aquatic Center offers private, family-friendly changing areas. Our pool is open to the public and has a full schedule of events.
Q: Can I come only one or two days a week? A: Yes, you can come any number of days in a given week, Monday through Friday.
Q: Are you open on holidays and weekends? A: No, we are closed on all major holidays and weekends.
Q: Do I have to be Catholic? A: No, St. Ann Center is nondenominational. We accept everyone without regard to faith, culture and ability to pay. We do have a small chapel that can be used for reflection and small services.
