Personal Hygiene Assistance

Persons living with aging or disability may experience difficulty using their own bathtub or shower. Likewise, their caregivers may be unable to handle the bathing needs of their own family member. The competent and caring staff of St. Ann Center offers private, personalized bathing care for those who need it. It is offered as an additional service beyond the regular day care program. Those who wish to take advantage of this service need not be enrolled as a day client at the center. Bathing is available Monday through Friday, 6 am to 6 pm on a pre-arranged basis.  

Whirlpool Baths

• Good hygiene helps older adults and persons with disabilities maintain dignity

   and a sense of well being

• All bathing is done in a whirlpool bath tub that is wheelchair accessible

• Bathing is provided in a private setting by a personal care assistant.

• Specialized equipment, such as a Hoyer lift, enables clients with limited mobility

   to easily enter and exit the bath tub

• Bathing times are available by appointment on a pay-per-service basis

• A health clearance from the physician is required
